I’m not going to lie it was a bit tough to choose my ten best shots from this summer semester. In the end, I was able to narrow it down to what I felt were my ten best photographs. As I looked back through the various themes we covered – and my photos from previous weeks – I realized how much my subjects varied along with how much preemptive planning/thought I put into my possible subjects before I actually photographed them. The first few weeks I essentially, took photos that fit the bill for that particular week’s theme. Yet, the last month (and change really) I would not only take more shots in association with the week’s theme, but I also found myself going out with an actual objective or idea with my photographing. I wanted to closely capture my perspective/idea of that particular week’s topic; I realized I was developing my style of photography. Naturally, the ten shots that I am showcasing now are the ten shots that I felt best represented not only my own favorite photographs, but also my growth as a photographer over the course of this semester.
